Important Pharmacy Prescription Policy Update
To keep every prescription accurate and on time, we've updated how we handle requests from outside pharmacies. Here's exactly what's changing and what to do instead.
Third-Party Online Pharmacy Requests
To ensure timely processing and maintain the accuracy of your pet's prescriptions, Animal Care Hospital of Walnut Creek will no longer approve prescription requests received from third-party pharmacies.

All Prescriptions Require A Physical Copy with a Wet Signature.
All pharmacies require a physical prescription with the doctor's original (wet) signature.
Pharmacies will NOT accept a copy, fax, email, scan, or photocopy of a prescription.
This includes pharmacies like
- Costco Pharmacy
- Walgreens
- CVS
- Walmart Pharmacy
- Chewy Pharmacy
- Amazon Pharmacy
- Third-party online pharmacies
- And all other pharmacies
In-store or online.
If You Choose To Use Any Other Pharmacy
Request
Request a written (physical) prescription from our hospital.
Pick Up
Pick up the signed prescription from our hospital.
Mail or Submit
Mail or submit the prescription directly to the pharmacy of your choice.
Please note: Prescription authorization requests sent directly from third-party pharmacies (other than ACH Online Pharmacy, Koala Health, ScriptWorks, Roadrunner, Wedgewood, or Mixlab Pharmacy) will be rejected.
