When your treasured four-legged companion needs surgery, it is natural to feel apprehensive. At Animal Care Hospital of Walnut Creek, though, we are here to put your mind at ease. When you choose us for your dog or cat’s soft-tissue surgery, you can rest assured that they will be in excellent hands every step of the way. Our patients’ comfort and safety are always our top priorities, and our staff will do everything possible to ensure the best prognosis for your beloved companion.
Common Surgical Procedures
Our brand-new hospital features a state-of-the-art surgical suite that allows us to perform a wide range of soft-tissue surgeries in-house. (We also perform orthopedic procedures. Please see our Orthopedics page for details.)
While this list is by no means exhaustive, some of the more common surgical procedures we are equipped to perform include:
- Foreign body removal
- Spay and neuter
- Bladder stone removal
- Wound and laceration repair
- Tumor removal/biopsy
- Tooth extractions
- Cesarean sections
If your pet needs a procedure not listed above, please contact us to discuss. Our team has the knowledge, skills, and equipment to perform nearly all soft-tissue surgeries.
We perform pre-anesthesia bloodwork and EKG to ensure all patients are healthy enough to undergo surgery safely. Their vital signs are closely monitored during surgery, too, and someone will keep a close eye on your pet while recovering. When it’s time to head home, a member of our team will provide you with detailed instructions for caring for your pet in the days and weeks following their operation.
