Meet Dr. Vanessa Franco-Gomez
DVM
Dr. Vanessa Franco Gomez was born and raised in California’s San Joaquin Valley. She attended California State University, Fresno, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Physical Science. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Franco Gomez completed a one-year small animal rotating internship in the Bay Area, where she had the opportunity to work alongside experienced specialists and emergency clinicians while caring for a wide variety of cases. This experience strengthened her passion for providing thoughtful, high-quality care while continuing to grow her skills as a veterinarian.
Her professional interests include preventative medicine, diagnostic imaging, urinary emergencies, and soft tissue surgery. She particularly enjoys helping pets and their families navigate challenging medical situations and is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care for every patient.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Franco Gomez comes from a large family and is a proud pet parent to four senior Chiweenies: Phosphorus, Lucky, Lucy, and Lola. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, practicing calligraphy, trying new foods, and traveling. She looks forward to getting to know you and your pets and being a part of their healthcare journey!
