I grew up in the SF bay area and attended UC Merced as a Microbiology and Immunology studies major (go Bobcats!) While at Merced, I worked in a herpetology lab studying lizard evolution and speciation. During my time as a research assistant, I lived and studied in Greece, island hopping on the Mediterranean for two wonderful summers. I then attended UC Davis for veterinary school, where I worked as a research assistant in a canine genetics laboratory and traveled to England to work at The Donkey Sanctuary. I focused my studies on small animal surgery, internal medicine, and integrative medicine.
While at Davis, I became passionate for companion animal health and wellbeing. I started my career at a large non-profit veterinary hospital, focused on client education and incremental care. While at the non-profit, I received additional training for high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter surgeries. Although my primary interests are in surgery and internal medicine, I’ve learned that the secret to a long and happy life for companion animals lies in client education.
My life outside of vet med includes traveling with my fiancé, taking my dog to the beach, reading, and trying any new craft that comes to mind!
